Is beauty really in the eye of the beholder?

I agree there are different cultural standards for beauty but at the same time there is a plenty of similiarities in the standard of human physical beauty. Is this a just a saying that people use to make everyone feel good? How come some people are more appealing than others? More guys would choose Megan fox over Paris Hilton. More guys would choose Kim Kardashian over Hilary Duff probablly. More girls would choose Will Smith over Jack Black.

Why do people from the UK (Great Britain) have crooked/horrible teeth?

I know 4 people all from Leeds, Scotland, and other parts of GB, all of them and people on tv have messed up teeth.

If i had to choose...the first...because for one thing i know some one dieing of cancer and also with the second as much as i hate to say this the world is over populated...also HIV is controllable with anti viral drugs so you can live an almost normal life if you can afford the drugs...

What are peoples views on Abortion and Adoption?

Me, personally, I think they are both selfish acts that i'd never consider. Getting pregnant myself at 17, thinking about taking a tablet that will make me bleed, seeing the feteous come out of me, knowing i caused it. Or being sucked out like a hoover and destroying a living thing. They both made me sick nd realised i couldn't do either. In my opinion, Adoption is slightly better, as at least a child has the chance of life. But at the same time i would never do it. You don't know what sort of hurt and pain you could be putting that poor child through in its life. The child may be stuck in homes for years, lonely. Or it may go to a bad family where they treat them badly. And when they know their adopted they may feel hurt and depressed. So many things! And i don't see how anyone can be so selfish to give birth to their own flesh and blood then let someone take them away. Some people say it's a good thing, giving a couple a chance to be parents. But if it was meant to be they would of had children of their own. Some people say having an abortion at an early stage wont hurt the baby. From a couple of weeks a baby has a heartbeat, there for making it living, even when all there is are cells, its still something inside you. Sometimes I understand situations where a person literally has no money, no family, nowhere to live, no friends etc, i understand if they out their child up for adoption. But when someone is fully capable of looking after a child, they just choose not to, that angers me. Take responsibilty people! what are your views?

Will the pieces of earth surviving the coming asteroid be able to sustain human life until the ship's liftoff?

No. Even if the earth was in "pieces" then the gravity field would be decreased and we would not have an atmosphere, either. Further, the fireball and "nuclear winter" of an impact would probably cause human extinction whether or not the earth was cleaved into pieces.
