Boyfriend of two years doesnt call me whats up?

ok so ever since our relationship started he didnt call much. Now he never calls we text all day long, but its not the same. So today i tell him i am upset bc we havent seen each other for two days and he hasnt even attempted to call me. . all he gives me are excuses like oh i know youre studying for a midterm and i dont want to distract you i am fed up we argue every time i ask him to call by the way i dont want to call him he doesnt have a car and i am the one who always goes over but god forbid i bring this up bc he gets all defensive saying things like oh sorry i wasnt handed things like you were maybe im not good enough for you and such any advice??
