What are some good dramatic/intense string symphonies?

It's not completely string-based, but the first movement of Schubert's 8th Symphony in B Minor (The Unfinished Symphony) is amazing- its about 10-15 minutes long, depending on whether the conductor repeats the exposition. The develeopment section is amazing.
