This guy rejected me. I am sure it was my fault?

I met a guy on lavalife.com we chatted online for a while, he seemed nice. Maybe I told him too much, I was just lonely and after company. We talked on the phone and he saw a pic of me, but when we met in person he acted disinterested. He did not bother to look me in the eye and kept staring at me through the movie. He talked about himself and maybe I was shy and did not say much, but after that I never heard from him again. I feel hurt and used and like I wasted my time on a player. He ims me out of the blue, saying he had moved to a big city and was chasing women still but they were snobs there and they never returned his calls. He said they were hot and they avoided him and did not like him.
