Hi Air Force tattoo question?

I'm in DEP for the Air Force, I'm supposed to leave in January '10 for basic and I really want to get a tattoo on the back of my shoulder. I already have the design picked out it's a small clover and it could be covered easily, but I heard that if you already went to MEPs and didn't have it yet then they get on you for it later. Just wanted to know if anybody knew for sure or had any advice. Thanks!
