Verizon Wireless question!?

I should be up for my two year renewal this month, and I should be able to get a new phone. I was on my own plan with my dad as a co-signer. My mom, through her new job was ablet o get a family discount so they added me to their account about 3 months ago. Since I was switched to another account would I still be able to get a new phone?? Do I have to wait for thier two year to come around??? My phone is slowly dieing and I really need a new one. Help please!
